The singer is 'disappointed' with Kanye for visiting Trump Towers earlier this week
John Legend has hit out at Kanye West for visiting president-elect Donald Trump earlier this week.
The 37-year-old singer is a good friend of Kanye, 39, but says he’s ‘disappointed’ by his actions and that he thinks the meeting was a ‘publicity stunt’.

John tells Clique: ‘I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to [Donald Trump] about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt. I think Kanye was a publicity stunt.
‘I think Trump has been corrosive, his message has been corrosive to the country. I think the things he’s promised to do have been very concerning for a lot of people, and for Kanye to support that message is very disappointing.
‘Whatever’s in his mind, I disagree with him.’

Kanye posed with Trump after their meeting in Trump Towers on Tuesday, weeks after he suffered a ‘breakdown’ and was admitted to hospital.
Both Trump and Kanye seemed pretty elusive about what they’d discussed, with the president-elect simply saying: ‘We’ve been friends for a long time… We were discussing life.’
Yeezy decided to explain things a little further later on, taking to Twitter to tell his followers that he wished to discuss issues that he feels are important.

This explanation impressed many of his fans, with one replying: ‘Kanye about to use trump to change shit for the black community instead of saying “f*** trump” like everybody else and not getting nowhere [sic].’
