How better to celebrate St Patrick’s Day than with a gaggle of gorgeous Irish men? Whether on screen, stage or the pitch, these hotties from the Green Isle are talented and good looking. Add that lilting accent into the mix, and we’re powerless to resist the charm of the Irish. Time to get patriotic!
Cork-born actor Cillian Murphy is known for his rough and ready roles, starring in Batman, Inception and Birmingham gang drama Peaky Blinders. Maybe it’s the on-screen bad-boy persona, those icy blue eyes or even that strong jawline, but we can’t get enough of this once-upon-a-time law student. Did we mention the 39 year old also speaks fluent French and used to front a rock band? But don’t get any ideas – Cillian has been married since 2004.
31 year old Tommy Bowe is an Ulster-born international rugby player, having first recognised his rugby skills in primary school. The 6ft 3in sports superstar has played for Ulster, Ospreys, Ireland and the British and Irish Lions, taking home no less then four Player of the Year awards. Tommy’s also a romantic – he proposed to his Welsh beauty queen girlfriend in April last year, popping the question during a walk along the beach. Aww!
Jonas is the Robin Hood that just keeps on giving – the Dublin born actor set hearts racing as the original outlaw alongside his band of merry men for the BBC, moving on to star opposite Chloe Sevigny on Hit and Miss, Tom Cruise in Edge of Tomorrow and taking the lead role in paranormal thriller Book of Blood. And, as rumour has it, the cheeky Dubliner might still be single, so form an orderly queue ladies…

Life would be a laugh a minute with funny man Chris O’Dowd, who has gone from The It Crowd to Hollywood hits like Bridesmaids and This is 40, still sporting bobble hats, patterned jumpers and that famous face fuzz. The actor and comedian married TV presenter Dawn O’Porter in 2012 and moved across the pond to LA, before the couple welcomed their bundle of joy, baby Art, in January.
Colin O’Donoghue has us hooked. Um, literally. Because the 34 year old actor is currently starring as Captain Hook in Once Upon a Time, after turns in The Tudors (the hottest historical drama EVER) and as hunky Conor in Irish medical drama The Clinic (those brooding good looks would certainly make us feel better, ahem). Colin officially became a dishy Dad in 2013 as wife Helen gave birth to a baby boy, Evan.
A Dubliner born and bred, Killian Scott recently moved to London to get away from being constantly spotted by fans in Ireland. Killian has a tough guy trademark on screen, starring in Love/ Hate, Black Ice and 71, but deep down we think Killian is a sweetheart, having admitted that despite playing womanisers for film, he doesn’t actually get much female attention when he’s out and about. We’re sure that won’t be the case for much longer.
An international rugby star who has played for Leinster, Ireland and the British and Irish Lions, Rob Kearney is a serious catch. Born in Dundalk, the 28 year old studied Arts at University College Dublin, is covered in freckles and likes Ed Sheeran; forget the sweaty rugby games, we’re picturing a summer’s day picnic and Ed on repeat. Rob has been in a relationship with his gorgeous girlfriend Jess since 2014, but younger brother Dave also plays for Ireland…
