'The sixth live show of X Factor, this is where I am. You’ve just seen the bookies’ odds - I’m the favourite'

Honey G has responded to some of the celebrities who’ve slammed her rapping talents.

The 35-year-old is undoubtedly the most controversial act on this year’s X Factor, drawing criticism from musicians including Professor Green and Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson.

Jesy, 25, said last month: ‘She’s just no. I think she’s an actress, I’ve been told she is as well.’

But now Honey G – real name Anna Georgette Gilford – has hit back, saying in a Facebook Live interview with The Sun: ‘These people saying this sort of stuff, they don’t know who they’re messing with.

‘I mean literally that’s one of the most ridiculous things that I’ve ever heard.

Jesy Nelson didn't send a message to Perrie Edwards on social media

Jesy Nelson has accused Honey G of being an ‘actress’

‘It’s annoying and obviously it’s quite insulting to be called an actress. I’ve been a musician the whole of my life.

‘I’ve got a musical background, I’ve got a degree from one of the best universities for music production.

‘I’ve been rapping and producing for about 15 years. I’m also involved closely with BBC Radio 1Xtra which is the UK’s biggest black music radio station.

‘So yeah, she needs her head checked because she doesn’t really know what she’s chatting about.’

Eep. When Pro, 32, appeared on The Xtra Factor, he openly laid into Honey G in front of hosts Rylan Clark-Neal and Matt Edmonson.

He said: ‘I don’t feel she should be in the competition. I feel like she’s taking the right mickey out of rap and I feel like it’s a bit of an injustice.’

Professor Green

Professor Green has also spoken out against Honey G

Of course, Honey G also has a reply to this. She’s clapped back: ‘I don’t feel like he’s in any position to be making comments like that and running his mouth up like that.

‘The sixth live show of X Factor, this is where I am. You’ve just seen the bookies’ odds – I’m the favourite. I don’t think he’s in the position to be running his mouth up about me taking the mickey out of rap.

‘I’ve had the public behind me, I’ve had 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg behind me.’

Oosh. We’re feeling a little scared of Honey G right now…
