Harry Styles has been plagued with rumours that he’s ditching the One Direction boys to go solo in 2014 – and now it’s time to set the record straight once and for all.
After sources claimed that the 19-year-old lady-lover was planning to branch out on his own and record a solo album next year, we were worried our fave fivesome were set for a split just three years into their soaring career.
But now, a rep for Harry’s come out and strongly denied the whispers, slamming to MailOnline: ‘It’s complete nonsense, of course.’ Pheeew!
The rumours first came about after VH1 presenter Chloe Mela claimed on her show ‘The Gossip Table’ that the 1D pin-up was already recording his own material without bandmates Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson.
‘One Direction performed on Saturday Night Live over the weekend and their new album Midnight Memories is currently number one in the UK. It looks like a recipe that’s going correctly,’ she said.
‘I spoke to a music insider who told me Harry definitely wants to record a solo album in 2014. It doesn’t mean he’s going to leave One Direction fully though’, Chloe added.
Whether he’s dabbling on other projects or not, we’ve got nothing but faith that the 1D gang will remain united for a good few years to come.
