Grammys 2013: Adele Wins Award For Best Solo Performance!

Adele won the first award of the night at the Grammys 2013, taking home the accolade for Best Solo Performance for Set Fire To The Rain.

The singer and mum-of-one took to the stage in a stunning red floral Valentino prom dress with matching stiletto heels, a giant beehive and showed off a new ‘A’ tattoo behind her ear, in tribute to her four-month-old son, Angelo James. Aww!

Accepting her award from Jennifer Lopez, she said: “Thank you so much. This is amazing, honestly! I just wanted to come and be part of the night ’cause I loved it last year, obviously. Thank you! I just want to say a massive … some big love to the other girls. We work so hard … See you later. Have a wonderful night.”

What a love. Adele picked up SIX awards at the same bash last year, but that was before she had her hands full with a new baby. Being a mum doesn’t mean she’s given up on her music, though. She hinted to reporters that there WILL be a new album on the way – eventually. She said: “I’m not very far along [with my new album]. I’ve been having lots of meetings… I’ve been out the loop, really. I’ve been singing my baby nursery rhymes.”

Where Adele’s concerned, we reckon even an album full of the star singing nursery rhymes would go platinum. Congrats, hun!
