Zayn Malik is going through a difficult time right now.
The ex-One Direction singer's grandmother passed away earlier this week, which has understandably left him devastated.
Zayn's fans learnt about his loss when an Instagram account - believed to belong to his younger sister Waliyha - shared a photo of their grandparents with their mother Trisha.
The post had been captioned: 'RIP to my grandma. I love you more than anything in the world my angel.
'It was so hard to see you struggle the way you have been but I know you're in a better place now with my grandad. He'll be so happy to see you after so many years.'
After hearing the news, fans started sending Zayn messages of support. This led to the hashtag #StayStrongZayn trending on Twitter.
Zayn, 22, later thanked his thoughtful followers, writing: 'Thank you for your support and love .. My grandma was a beautiful person and will be missed dearly x.'
But Directioners aren't the only ones who've been there for Zayn. His new girlfriend Gigi Hadid has been by his side over the past few days.
They were spotted enjoyed a romantic dinner on Tuesday before Gigi was photographed clutching her man's hand as they made their way through New York yesterday. Aw.
Gigi and Zayn's bond has clearly only become stronger since they were first linked at the end of November.
Zayn shared their first Instagram snap together last month, while Gigi shared a picture of a shirtless man (whose tattoos looked very similar to Zayn's) to her page at the weekend.
Gigi, 20, was also spotted wearing a Bradford City AFC shirt in a Facetime selfie over the festive break.
Of course, Bradford-born Zayn supports his home team - and he pretty much confirmed that the top belonged to him with a cheeky Tweet on New Year's Day.
When Bradford City Tweeted Gigi: 'Gigi, do you not have the new #bcafc shirt? We'll have to get you one!' Zayn replied: 'It's a lil old ;).'
Cute. We're just glad Zayn has someone to help him through this tough time.
