Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie: Channing Tatum WON'T Play Christian Grey
Fifty Shades Of Grey movie fans might be disappointed to hear that it looks like Channing Tatum is out of the casting race to play saucy CEO Christian Grey.
The Magic Mike actor, who's married to his Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan, has announced that he's taking a break from acting in 2013.
Don't fret though, readers - he's not quitting acting altogether, he just wants to focus on working behind the camera, instead.
Channing has set up his own production company, and tells Entertainment Weekly: "Reid (Carolin, his production partner) have about three to four ideas that we love that are all in the hopper. By the end of next year, we're going to shut things down and write the first thing that we're going to direct.
"We're going to be like, alright, no more acting parts for a minute, let's take a few and really get caring about that section of our career."
He'd already spoken openly about his desore to direct, telling Details magazine earlier this year that he "didn't want to to be in any more movies that he hadn't produced".
With writers already busy working on the Fifty Shades Of Grey movie project, it looks like the casting team will have to look elsewhere for our Mr Grey.
Unless he can be persuaded. Any takers to twist Channing's arm? RM
