Cara Delevingne is said to be eyeing up a role in the new Fifty Shades of Grey movie, with the British Burberry model reportedly the front-runner for a part in the eagerly-anticipated silver screen adaptation.
20-year-old Cara’s already being tipped to star in upcoming Brit flick Kids In Love, and now it looks like her acting CV could be set for big things if she manages to land a role in Sam Taylor-Johnson‘s cinematic filth-fest.
“Cara is front-runner for a part”, a source told The Sun. “She’s desperate to get the gig and has always said that she wants to be taken seriously as an actress. She is a global icon now and a good actress as well and Sam wants her in the movie – although which part exactly hasn’t been established.”
Miss D got her first taste of acting in Anna Karenina alongside fellow Brit beauty Keira Knightley, so we know she’s got the skills. And she was seen looking pretty at home while brandishing a black tail whip at the Clarence House Animal Ball last month, so maybe Cara playing BDSM-loving Ana wouldn’t be too much of a stretch…
Despite Hollywood hunks Robert Pattinson, Ryan Gosling and Chris Hemsworth all having been linked to the big-screen adaptation of E.L James’ saucy bonkbuster, it’s thought that the lead roles will now go to unknown actors.
So who knows who Cara may be romping around with should she make it onto the coveted Fifty Shades casting couch. But we’ll have to wait until an age to find out – the film’s not due for release in the US until August 1 2014!
