Ferne McCann sure knows how to get feisty. And she’s got a lot to say to her haters.
Taking a spot on Lorraine, the former TOWIE star has opened up about the ‘stigma’ that’s attached to her reality star beginnings.
Speaking on the ITV show, Ferne recalled her recent time at Cannes Film Festival, ‘I went to the film festival and I did a musical last month. I had my musical debut in an adaptation of The Great Gatsby and I loved it, even though it was out of my comfort zone.
‘I’ve always had a passion for acting and had a few meetings in Cannes and have been offered a film role, which is really exciting.
‘I’m going over to LA in July and working with a few directors and producers. It’s exciting times.’
Ooh, congrats Ferne!
The blonde star then turned to the pressure she feels to prove herself, given the fact that she rose to fame on the ITVBe Essex series.
She hit back, ‘I honestly feel the pressure and because I come from a reality background you’ve got that stigma attached and everyone thinks you’re talentless.
‘At the musical I felt like I had a point to prove. There’s always more than way to skin a cat. You don’t have to go to drama school, if you have a passion then that’s fine.’
Well. We’re loving seeing you do you, Ferne.
