Ferne McCann received some parenting advice from Sam Faiers on last night’s episode of The Mummy Diaries.

In scenes that were filmed before the ex-TOWIE star confirmed her pregnancy, she chatted to her pal about weaning her one-year-old son Paul.

When Ferne asked: ‘Have you gone cold turkey?’ Sam replied: ‘Not really. He does still go on there but I’m trying to cut it out. Sometimes he really throws tantrums.’

Ferne then sympathised: ‘It’s easier said than done isn’t it?’ before Sam said: ‘I was waiting to move house to stop completely because it’s a big change for him, moving house and stuff.

‘I honestly don’t think they really even fill up that much even more, because he’s getting all his food.’

Ferne added: ‘Yeah, it’s just a comfort thing.’

A representative for Ferne announced her pregnancy news last month, following the news that her now-ex boyfriend Arthur Collins was wanted by police in connection with a horrific acid attack that took place in a London nightclub.

This statement, published on OK!, read: ‘Ferne is grateful for the sympathetic way news of her pregnancy has been covered and people’s support and obviously her first concern is for her child’s health.

‘Accordingly she does not wish to discuss the pregnancy further given the early stage it is at and the immense strain that Ferne is currently under. Nor does she wish to discuss her ex-boyfriend who she does not recognise from the events of the last week.

‘Ferne is in no way seeking sympathy for her situation and is determined to do all she can to have a happy and heathy child and face the challenges of being a single parent with all her energy.

‘Her thoughts are with the victims of the horrific attack on Easter Monday.’

We’re glad she has her friends by her side.
