Steps appeared on the ITV1 daytime show, but not everyone thought Faye got a fair deal...
It’s official, people. Steps are BACK.
Yep. All our 90s dreams have come true, because Faye Tozer, Claire Richards, Ian ‘H’ Watkins, Lisa Scott-Lee and Lee Latchford-Evans have released new single Scared Of The Dark.
The group appeared on Lorraine this morning, where they chatted about their reunion with temporary host Fearne Cotton.
Revealing that they’ve added more dates to their tour, Claire, 39, said: ‘We’ve got something really exciting to tell everyone about the tour. Because the reaction has been so incredible and so amazing, we are adding five extra shows.
‘Touring is always our thing. It’s the one thing we knew we wanted to get to.’
Of course, fans were thrilled to hear this. Tweets included: ‘Can’t believe @OfficialSteps are back on @ITVLorraine! Taking me back 20 years! 😲 #Steps #Lorraine,’ and: ‘Lovely seeing the fantastic #steps back on #lorraine this morning. Such a happy bunch to start a Monday with. ☺☀️🎉 [sic].’
But unfortunately for Faye, 41, some felt that she looked a little left out during the interview. It probably didn’t help that the group didn’t all fit on Lorraine Kelly’s sofa, meaning she had to sit on an adjoining stool.
Others wrote: ‘@Faye_Tozer looked really happy to be there 😐 #lorraine,’ while another said: ‘Could have got a bigger sofa, poor faye there perched on the stool at the end, those two certainly no gents either #lorraine.’

Another blamed her chatty band mates, with one message reading: ‘Just watched steps interview on #Lorraine poor @Faye_Tozer couldn’t get a word in with @_ClaireRichards @Ianhwatkins @LSLofficial talking 😂😂 [sic].’
Eeeep. Well, we didn’t get that vibe AT ALL. In fact, we thought the whole band looked ecstatic to be back together.
And Faye did show her excitement last night, Tweeting: ‘Early bed tonight! We are on Lorraine in the morning with more exciting news!! #20YearsOfSteps xx.’
Bring on the tour!
