So The Way You Kiss Reveals A Lot About Your Relationship

The way you kiss your partner says an awful lot about you, apparently.

Lifestyle website Little Things has illustrated what each of the different lip-locking styles mean, as defined by kissing expert Sheril Kirshenbaum.

In Sheril’s book, The Science Of Kissing: What Our Lips Are Telling Us, the most popular smooching styles are laid out, and each one comes with its own insight into your relationship and personality.

The Peck

Possibly most popular form of kissing right at the beginning of a new relationship, the peck is all about trying each other on for size.

If there is a spark, it may lead to a different kind of kiss altogether. Exciting, huh?

However, if you’re in a long-term relationship the peck can also act as a quick way to check-in with one another or to offer reassurance.

Known for being a sign of fondness and politeness, a kiss on the cheek basically says ‘hey, I like you.’

This doesn’t mean that there aren’t romantic feelings involved, but it does show that there’s likely to be a true friendship at the heart of the relationship.

N’aw.

Sloppy Kisses

You know the ones. They’re passionate and charged, which pretty much mirrors the kind of relationship you’re likely to have.

According to Sheril, men love this kiss the most.

Naturally, this is a heavily passionate kiss.

The Science Of Kissing reveals that it’s all about the exploration and wanting to know more about the other person, becoming closer to them.

If you’re new to the relationship, this may be a sign that you’re not comfortable around each other yet. But we’re sure you’ll have fun working to change that…

Unfortunately, if you’re a little further down the line, it may be a sign that ’emotional walls’ could exist between you both.

We’re feeling a little hot under the collar now.
