Coleen Rooney has hit back at critics of her parenting choices, which all started when she took her kids to Euro 2016.
The mum-of-three treated son Kai to some time out of school to take him to watch his dad, Wayne Rooney, play in the Euros last week.
Coleen and her kids jetted out to Paris to watch Wayne compete from their prime seats in the stands, with Coleen tweeting a photo of her and her boys and writing: ‘Kids are loving the game!! Need a goal now…. Come on England.’
But the British celebrity soon faced criticisim for fellow parents for taking Kai out of school – especially amid the news that councils are now fining parents up to £120 if they take their children out of class during term time.
‘@ColeenRoo @WayneRooney hope there’s a fine coming your way for taking your kids out of school!!! Double standards!!’, one disgruntled Twitter user wrote.
But Coleen soon had her say, and took to social media to explain that her son attends a fee-paying school, meaning she won’t be fined.
‘@andybaggie no Kai goes to a private school, so no fine…. Extra work to take away with us though!!!’ she replied.
When another user asked how Kai managed not to miss out on any learnings whilst being away from school, Coleen replied saying that he takes his homework with him.
‘We get work to take away with us X’, she tweeted.
