The TOWIE star and Little Mix lady went their separate ways in April...
TOWIE‘s Chris Clark has finally opened up about his split from Jesy Nelson.
The pair went their separate ways in April, after a whirlwind three-month romance that began at the start of this year.
They’ve both kept schtum about the reason for their break-up, but now Chris has told OK!: ‘Our relationship came at a difficult time, because the band [Little Mix] were touring America, so we mostly spoke on the phone.
‘She was only in my life for about three months.
‘I didn’t understand why she was interested in me – I’m just someone from TOWIE. I always felt like second best to Jesy. But that was my issue, not hers.’
It’s safe to say that LM fans didn’t take the situation well – especially when Chris’s pal Myles Barnett admitted that he’d dumped Jesy over the phone. Eeeep.
They accused him of ‘using’ the 25-year-old for fame, and are still posting snake emojis on his Instagram snaps.
Chris, 22, has stuck up for himself, continuing: ‘I used to think people who complained about trolling were making a bit of a fuss, but I’ve seen how bad people can get. Jesy and I ended on good terms, I didn’t use her.’

Whatever the case, Chris and Jesy appear to have moved on. Jesy is super-busy with the LM girls, while Chris is back with his ex-girlfriend Amber Dowding.
On Amber, he says: ‘The time apart gave me time to grow up. We didn’t talk for nearly eight months and, during that time, I changed a lot and I think I can be a much better boyfriend to Amber this time around.’
Hmm. Even if they are on good terms, we can’t see Jesy tuning into the next series of TOWIE…
