The celebrity couple welcomed their first baby last week, and announced the news on Saturday night....
It was the news that EVERYONE had been waiting for – Cheryl and Liam Payne finally announced the birth of their baby at the weekend.
Posting a photograph of her man cradling her newborn son, Cheryl told fans: ‘On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream.
‘Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever 💙’.
Liam shared the same photo, revealing that it was by far his ‘favourite memory’, and that he was ‘ in awe’ of his famous girlfriend.
Yup. We may have shed an emotional tear…
But if you’re now looking forward to being inundated with cute family photos, we may have some upsetting news to share with you.
According to reports, the former X Factor judge and her beau will not be sharing any photographs of their son’s face, wishing to prioritise his privacy.

A friend of the couple is said to have told MailOnline: ‘Cheryl and Liam decided they won’t be sharing any pictures as they want to protect the privacy of the baby.
‘They had been offered huge deals from the UK and US but they turned it down as the baby’s privacy is the most important thing to them.’
Although we’re a little disappointed not to be seeing any adorable Chiam baby albums, we have total respect for the decision.
We’re sending our congratulations and best wishes to Cheryl, Liam and baby Payne at this exciting time.
