Cheryl has angrily hit back at her ex, JB, who has asked for the one-year anniversary ring he gave her back after their divorce...
Just when we thought Cheryl and Jean-Bernard Fernadez-Versini’s divorce was going relatively smoothly, an argument has reportedly erupted between the former couple.
Cheryl and JB’s divorce was done and dusted in just 14 seconds yesterday, with everything now finalised and Cheryl free to move on with boyfriend Liam Payne.
However, after reports emerged claiming JB was asking for his late mother’s ring back from Cheryl, the former Girls Aloud singer has angrily hit back.
A source close to the 33-year-old has told Mail Online that she’s ‘baffled as to why the request has been made via a newspaper’ and will return the treasured piece of jewellery to her ex ‘immediately.’
JB was reportedly ‘upset’ that Cheryl still had the ring, which he gave to Cheryl on their 1 year anniversary, after their split, as it belonged to his late mother.
But the insider is claiming that this is the first Cheryl’s even heard about it.
‘JB never asked for the ring back during months of discussions between lawyers’, the source said. ‘If this story is true and the request is made via their lawyers she will send the ring back immediately. She has not worn the ring since last year.’
‘Since they split up last year, Cheryl has not worn it’, they added. ‘She put it in a safe place and totally forgot about it because he has never asked her for it’.
Cheryl also appeared to hit out at her ex with a very cryptic tweet posted last night. The singer gave a nod to Little Mix’s new single, Shout Out To My Ex, by tweeting:

‘@LittleMix can I get a copy of Glory days before everyone else ? pal perks ???’
Of course, Perrie, 23, replied: ‘@CherylOfficial Haha! ANYTHING for you beautiful! #PalPerks Perrie <3.’
Cheryl then followed up with a poignant sassy girl emoji, seemingly referencing the ex-bashing lyrics in the band’s new single.
Ooh. Sneaky, Cheryl…
