30-year-old Cheryl’s shock decision is said to be part of a three-year plan to reignite the Geordie beauty’s solo career in Emg;amd following a less-than-successful stint in the States.
The Call My Name singer, who recently relocated back to London with US dancer boyfriend Tre Holloway in tow, first hired BFF Will.i.am to oversee her career back in 2011. But while the pair’s close friendship has blossomed, Cheryl’s career hasn’t exactly done the same…
“Cheryl has had enough time to get over all the big dramas in her life over the past few years. The malaria episode, the humiliating experience on X Factor USA and her marriage problems left her lost for a while”, a source explained to The Sun.
“But she has really got the fire back in her belly and wants to throw herself into her career. The time is right”, it added.
The former X Factor judge is now officially being overseen by Modest Management after cutting ties with her BFF (now that must have been one very awkward conversation…) as she gears up to write and record new material.
Poor Will. At least Cheryl’s also doing some hiring along with her firing, though – she’s reportedly snapped up Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts to help pen her 2014 album!
Might want to cover your ears when that one comes out, Will.i.am…
