Cheryl Cole Is What The X Factor Needs, Says Kimberley Walsh

Cheryl Cole is the answer to Simon Cowell‘s prayers. According to Kimberley Walsh, it’s the Girls Aloud singer that Simon needs to inject record-breaking ratings into The X Factor.

When discussing how the ITV1 show is suffering, Kimberley told The Sun: “I think it misses Cheryl.

“She was brilliant on it and I think she’s missed. She and Simon were very amusing to watch. It was a good chemistry and I think that is missed.”

We couldn’t agree more. Who doesn’t miss Cheryl’s sense of humour, her gorgeous outfits and her constant bickering with Mr Cowell?

She added: “The whole line up of judges has changed over the years and the time Cheryl was involved was a great time, there were some great winners and it was all about the talent.”

Kimberley is of course enjoying a successful stint on rival show Strictly Come Dancing, which is currently winning the ratings war. Last week, Cheryl even made an appearance on the show, supporting Kimberley in the audience and then performing on stage with her Girls Aloud bandmates.

Kimberley says: “The thing about Strictly is it is so happy. It’s a warm show and people have embraced it. People want escapism, they want to be happy, and The X Factor is a lot more serious. It is people’s lives at stake and it does really matter if people go.”

Bring Cheryl back, we say! RM
