Cheryl Cole has taken to Twitter to deny reports that she’s expecting her first baby. The singer was forced to rubbish the rumours after fans mistakenly read a tweet she posted to pregnant Coleen Rooney.
Confused? Us too.
The Girls Aloud singer tweeted a reply to Coleen last night, saying: “Nice to see you too, you look amazing pregnant RT “@ColeenRoo: Great night at Girls Aloud Concert!!! So nice to see lovely @CherylCole xxx.”
Cheryl’s 3.6 million followers misread the tweet, took the word “pregnant”, added two and two together and got one expectant Girls Aloud star. What a mess! Cheryl’s recent illness only added fuel to the fire, with fans speculating that her recent bout of flu was in fact morning sickness.
Addressing the rumours, she wrote: “You lot! lmao. I should have known not to say the word on here !! No peeps I’m not “pregnant” lol!! #cuesdodgyphotosandheadlines #prediction.” (sic)
She then retweeted a post from her PA, Lily England, who posted a picture of the star sporting a very toned a trim stomach on stage. She wrote: “Pregnancy rumours?? Erm I’m struggling to believe that looking at this stomach!! No morning sickness…”
Cheryl added: “Lol @Lily_England she’s like a jack in the box, wind her up a little bit and she pops!!”
Forgive us all for overreacting – but we can’t wait for mini Chezzas! RM
