The 41-year-old comedian (and Jennifer Aniston's pal) has spoken out about Brangelina's divorce, and she's not holding back...
It may seem as though the entire world is mourning Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s marriage – but that’s not quite true.
News that Angelina had filed for divorce emerged on Tuesday, with the 41-year-old actress citing irreconcilable differences.
Celebrities expressing their upset include Chrissy Teigen and Adele, who actually dedicated an entire Madison Square Garden gig to the couple.
She told the crowd: ‘Brangelina are broken up. I mean, I don’t like gossiping, and I think private lives should be private, but I feel like it’s the end of an era…
‘So I’m dedicating my show tonight to them.’
Brad’s ex Jennifer Aniston has kept a dignified silence on the matter. However, her long-term ally Chelsea Handler most certainly has not. Eep.
In a clip from her Netflix show, the comedian can be seen saying: ‘Brad and Angelina always said they wouldn’t get married until everyone could get married.
‘And I always said I wouldn’t get married until they got divorced, so I’m officially accepting proposals. I’m ready.’
Chelsea, 41, also touched upon some of the wild and unsubstantiated rumours over why Angelina ended her 12-year relationship.
She continued: ‘I wonder why [Brad] would need to self-medicate.
‘Maybe because he could have been spending the last 12 years at Lake Como hanging out with George Clooney and Matt Damon, instead of being stuck in a house with 85 kids speaking 15 different languages. Oh, yeah, because he married a f****** lunatic, that’s why.’
Woah. A little harsh, no? Especially considering she’s brought Brange’s six (very innocent) children into the argument.
But to be honest, this kind of talk doesn’t come as a complete surprise. In fact, it isn’t the first time Chelsea’s spoken out about Angelina.
Back in 2013, she said: ‘I just don’t like Angelina Jolie. I don’t think she’s a girl’s girl. I like girl’s girls!’
Hmm. We really wish both Brad and Angelina the best at this difficult time, and our hearts go out to them.
