A congratulations are in order for the Oscar winning actress, Charlize Theron, as it’s been reported that she has adopted a baby girl.
According to US reports, Charlize has now welcomed the newest member to the Theron family – a little baby girl called August, who was born in the US last month. After a six-month adoption process, Chalize has reportedly gained custody and moved baby August into the house she shares with her four-year old son Jackson, who she adopted from in 2012. She chose to raise Jackson as a single parent, after splitting from her then-boyfriend of nine years, Irish-born actor Stuart Townsend.
In April this year the 39-year old actress opened up about the joys of motherhood. “I do know that choosing to be a mom in my late 30s has been really great for me,” she said. “It’s given me perspective.”
Charlize has been open this year about how she always wanted to have a family and showed an interest in wanting more children. “Yeah. I mean I’m so open to anything in life.” She says. “I was never like ‘Oh god no just one. I was always open to whatever kind of happens.”
Charlize’s baby news comes just two months after the actress called off her engagement with actor Sean Penn, 54, after 18-months together. Although the pair recently reunited – for work. The pair has been working in South Africa together on the movie ‘The Last Face’ to re-shoot scenes, which Penn is directing.
