Calvin Harris has just taken to Twitter to make a pretty big statement about his ex girlfriend Taylor Swift. And it’s safe to say he hasn’t held back.
People Magazine reported that the pair’s split could have been down to a disagreement over one of his songs, featuring Rihanna.
The singer’s rep confirmed to the publication, ‘Taylor Swift wrote “This Is What You Came For” under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg’.
According to People, the pair agreed to keep the collaboration quiet. But, apparently, Taylor was hurt when Calvin gave an interview a little while later, saying that he didn’t think he’d ever work with his then-girlfriend.
He reportedly told Ryan Seacrest at the time, ‘You know, we haven’t even spoken about it. I can’t see it happening though’.
Is this why she’s now stepping forward and taking ownership? Who knows.
Either way, Calvin Harris has clearly decided that he wants to share his side of the story.
He started by confirming that she did write it, saying, ‘And she sings on a little bit of it too. Amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual’.
Aw, that’s pretty sweet.
He then followed this with a series of tweets, reading: ‘I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym.
‘Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though’.

Touching on Tay’s new relationship with Tom Hiddleston, Calvin said, ‘I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do’.
He contined, ‘I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it’.
Ouch. Is this about Taylor’s widely reported feud with Katy Perry by any chance?
Harris finished: ‘Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you’ve earned a great one.
‘God bless everyone have a beautiful day’.
