Will Calvin Harris and Katy Perry’s New Track Reference Taylor Swift?

Calvin revealed he had collaborated with Katy for his new album on Twitter last night. And fans had one question...

Is there more bad blood on the way for Katy Perry and Taylor Swift? We hope not!

Calvin Harris and Katy have recorded a track together for his new album, which drops on the 30th June. We can’t imagine that Taylor is particularly pleased with the news, given that Calvin is her ex and the fact that she’s held a grudge with Katy for five years.

The video revealed that the How Deep Is Your Love artist has also worked with Pharrell Williams, Frank Ocean, Travis Scott (who Kylie Jenner is reportedly dating), John Legend and more.

Taylor and Katy haven’t seen to eye to eye since a tiff over backing dancers in 2012, and it’s thought that Tay’s track Bad Blood is about the demise of their friendship. So when you also consider Taylor’s split from Calvin, we can’t imagine that she’s thrilled by the collaboration.

Meanwhile, Calvin wasn’t happy when Taylor revealed that she wrote his track This Is What You Came For, arguing that his ex was trying to make him look bad and he would have happily credited her if that’s what she had wanted at the time, The Telegraph reported.

The tweets, which have since been deleted, read: ‘I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear you ex bf down for something to do’ – at the time, Taylor was with Thor actor, Tom Hiddleston.

‘I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury someone like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it’, he added.

The only surviving tweet is the final from the rant, above.

We reckon there probably won’t be any animosity towards Taylor when it comes to Calvin and Katy’s collaboration track, but in the celeb world, you never can tell.
