Jay Z And Calvin Harris Unite To Create Comedy TV Show

Jay Z, Calvin Harris and Will Smith are all joining forces to create a brand new comedy series for US channel HBO.

In what might be the one of the most random (yet exciting) showbiz collaborations we’ve seen in some time, the unlikely trio have teamed up to create a fictional comedy based on the world of electro music called Higher (well, we can see where Calv comes in then…)

A statement from the channel read: ‘The pitch for the new series, set in a fictional world of electronic music was developed with the help of Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris.

‘The show has been bought by HBO and is currently in development with the pilot being penned by critically acclaimed Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh.’

Plans for the comedy sitcom are already well underway, with Hollywood legend Will Smith and hip-hop mogul Jay both acting as executive producers alongside Will’s wife Jada Pinkett.

Maybe Beyoncé and Rita Ora will be the show’s stars?! Well, we can dream…

Move over Girls, we predict big things for these boys.
