Have A Look At How Buckingham Palace Does Christmas Decorations

A week or so ago, we were all super excited (and sad) to see what The White House’s final Christmas decorating looked like. The Obamas and their staff did not disappoint, embracing the theme of The Gift Of The Holidays which is a perfectly balanced and apt celebration before the Trump storm starts rolling in.

But let’s put the world’s problems to the side for a second and wrap ourselves in the closed mentality of Britain, our little island. “Oh, look how pretty Buckingham Palace’s decorations are this year!”

Expectedly regal, of course, but seeing as it was Prince Albert that introduced the Christmas tree tradition back in Queen Victoria’s era, it makes sense that Buckingham Palace would have the best trees.

We’re still trying to wrap our heads around the fact that the Royal Family have social media accounts. Like, it’s nuts that Buckingham Palace must have WiFi. How many routers must it take to get the whole building online? Do BT call the Royals’ home phone for service feedback? Also, those are thick walls – can Liz even get signal from her room?

Anyway, on their social media accounts, the Royal Family posted a selection of photos from around their not-so-humble abode. “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Buckingham Palace…” wrote the Royals’ probably overpaid social media manager.

The photos were shared last Thursday of National Christmas Tree Day. But maybe the decorations were put up for Queen Elizabeth’s annual Diplomatic Reception attended by ambassadors from all corners of the globe – it can be argued that these events are equally paramount.

These pictures have set of fierce debate in the comments about traditional Christmas decoration colours. While many traditionalists stick to the dual-colour system, fun people throw coordination out of the window for Christmas.

As you can see from the baubles above, The Royals are in the latter camp. Good on them!
