We have sad news about Billie Piper and Laurence Fox today.
After nine years of marriage, the couple have announced that they’ve ended their relationship.
In a statement posted on Laurence’s official Facebook page, they wrote: ‘Laurence Fox and Billie Piper have separated. No third parties are involved.
‘For the sake of our family we request and appeal for space and privacy at this time.’
The couple married at St Mary’s Church in Easebourne, West Sussex in December 2007, a year after they met while performing together in a stage production.
They’re parents to sons Winston, eight, and three-year-old Eugene.
This is the second divorce for Billie, 33, after her well-publicised break-up with Top Gear host Chris Evans back in 2004.
To be honest, it comes as quite a surprise that Billie and Laurence have gone their separate ways.
Although they’d mainly kept their romance out of the spotlight, they’d always seem pretty smitten when asked about each other.
Just this month, 37-year-old Laurence told the Daily Express that his ‘perfect evening’ would involve: ‘Sitting next to my wife, watching telly, taking it easy with a glass of wine and a Thai chilli and basil stir-fry chicken.
‘That’s one of my signature dishes, so I cook it. But she’s a great cook, too.’
Sending you both lots of love, guys.
