Beyonce To Cover ‘Back To Black’ For The Great Gatsby

Beyonce‘s latest venture will see her record her own version of Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ for the new The Great Gatsby movie soundtrack.

The star is said to be dueting on the track with Andre 3000 to give it a new spin. Amazing, right?

A source told The Sun: “The track was perfect for the film but the whole idea of the 2013 picture is to give everything a new twist.”

It’s no wonder that Queen Bey has been given the gig, either, since her hubby Jay-Z is executive producer of the film’s soundtrack.

It’s believed that Jay will have had to gain approval from Amy’s family and producer Mark Ronson to cover the track, but we doubt they’d have hesitated. With Bey’s incredible vocals and Andre’s rapping talents, we predict this will be a huge hit in its own right.

The Great Gatsby hits cinemas in May and is already being tipped for multiple Oscars in 2014. With a cast that includes Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire and Leonardo diCaprio, we can see why.

Hurry up with the soundtrack, Jay. We can’t WAIT to hear this! RM
