Eek! There could be bad news ahead for Britain’s Got Talent, as it’s being reported that Ant and Dec’s contract might soon be up.
The British presenting duo are total national treasures, and have fronted some of TV’s most popular shows, such as BGT and I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here.
But with their contract for Simon Cowell’s show up for renewal at the end of 2016, show bosses are worried about the pair leaving (we mean, they have been on the show for ten years)…
‘The pair are threatening to quit BGT which jeopardises the current BGT renewal negotiations with ITV’, a source told The Mirror. ‘They have fronted BGT for ten years now and are looking at their options.’
Being so popular and all, it’s thought that Ant and Dec could be offered as much as £30 million to stay with the talent show for the next three years. Crikey. Now that must be hard to turn down…
No word off either of them yet, or from BGT, but the show did recently congratulate the pair on receiving their OBEs.
‘Very well deserved indeed, boys. Couldn’t be happier for you or prouder of you’, read a tweet from the Britain’s Got Talent Twitter account after the boys had been honoured.
We’re not going to lie, we would be pretty devastated if Ant and Dec left our Saturday night screens… Please stay, fellas!
