It's been announced that Angelina will have sole custody of her and Brad's six children, with the couple releasing a statement saying it's a 'difficult time'
Brad Pitt has been deal a major blow as the details of his and Angelina Jolie’s divorce are being finalised.
It’s been announced that Angelina will get sole custody of her and Brad’s six children – Shiloh, Maddox, Zahara, Vivienne, Knox and Pax – with Brad being allowed ‘therapeutic visits’.
The couple split back in September, and at the time of the shock announcement, it was rumoured that Brad had had an explosive row with teenage son Maddox on a flight to LA just weeks before.
Brad is said to have been in ‘bad shape’ ever since, according to Us Weekly, and after reports that the actor was only allowed to see his children whilst accompanied by a therapist, the source added: ‘He will cooperate in whatever way he can. He loves those kids more than anything’.
Since the custody agreement, Angelina’s rep has released a statement confirming that the children will live with her.
‘In accordance with this [custody] agreement, the six children will stay in their mother’s custody, and the children will continue therapeutic visits with their father’, it reads.
‘This has been determined by childcare professionals to be in the children’s best interest. We are not in a position to discuss the details.
‘We hope now that it is clear that the events which led to the dissolution filing involved minor children and their wellbeing, there will be understanding of the sensitivity of the family situation.
‘We believe that all sides are committed to healing the family and ask for your consideration during this difficult time.’
