Former bodyguard to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Mark Billingham, has said he felt like he basically 'fathered' their six children...
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s former bodyguard has been giving fans an insight into what family life used to be like for the couple.
Angelina and Brad announced their divorce last month, and it’s been reported that Brad recently saw his children for the first time since the couple split.
But now, Mark Billingham – Brangelina’s former bodyguard – has lifted the lid on how he felt like he ‘fathered’ the A-lister’s six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, ten, and twins Vivienne and Knox, eight.
Mr Billingham told The Sun that he spent so much time around the kids, he said he felt like he ‘fathered them, basically’, before adding he ‘could take the kids anywhere I wanted to on my own.’
Mark also revealed that Ange and Brad were constantly scared of people ‘kidnapping’ their children, explaining: ‘The biggest concern for them was the kidnapping of the kids. It’s all about money.’
He went on to say that the couple were even wary of security professionals, explaining: ‘Even when I wanted to bring in extra people, they wouldn’t let any of those near the kids’, before adding that they ‘could look out for them from a distance but they couldn’t physically touch them’.
The former bodyguard for the couple also said, rather controversially, that he felt he had to offer up extra protection for Brad, rather than his wife Ange.
Why? Because Brad wasn’t very popular, according to Mark.
‘People love her but hate him,’ he said. ‘You have to figure out a way of protecting them from all that. It was challenging, but interesting.’
