Angelina Jolie At World War Z Premiere: ‘I Feel Great’

In her first public outing since her double mastectomy, actress Angelina Jolie looked the picture of health as she swept the World War Z red carpet in a stunning floor-length black Yves Saint Laurent gown at London’s Leicester Square.

Missing her aunt Debbie’s funeral to support fiancé Brad Pitt at his film premiere, the mum-of-six told BBC reporters she was “feeling great” and couldn’t be prouder of her actor beau as he promoted his new movie.

“I’m here for Brad”, she said. “I’m so proud of him”.

And it seems the support is mutual for this A-list couple. Angelina told The Sun how partner Brad has been nothing short of amazing during her recovery from elective surgery.

“He’s been extraordinary”, said the Salt star. “He’s such a wonderful man and a wonderful father. I’m very lucky.” Aw, we love these two…

An emotional Brad, meanwhile, spoke of his brave fianceé’s “heroism”. “I’m very proud and I’m just relieved that’s not going to be the thing that takes her out”, he said. “The biggest fear as a father is keeping the family alive, safe and together — she did that. I’m getting a bit teary-eyed thinking about it.”

“It’s heroic”, he added. “She realises this is not available for everyone and it should be. As the other half, when you’re sitting and waiting it’s emotional. But I got the easy part.”

Angelina also spoke of how proud she was of the overwhelming response to her New York Times article.

“I’ve been very happy just to see the discussion about women’s health expanded — that means the world to me. After losing my mum to these issues I’m very grateful for it and I’ve been very moved by the kind support from people.”

We’re totally in awe of this woman.
