This Is What A $30 Million Wedding Looks Like

You may not have heard of Angela Yeung but the actress, model and singer is HUGE in China. Dubbed as the Chinese ‘Kim Kardashian’, the star has just been propelled to international stardom this week due to her recent – rather lavish – wedding.

Understatement of the century. Angela Yeung – known to her 3.5 million Insta following as AngelaBaby – married actor Huang Xiaoming earlier this month and according to Forbes the wedding cost a whopping $31 million. Blimey.

To put that cost in perspective, Kim and Kanye spent a mere $12 million on their over-the-top ceremony in 2014…

After 6 years of dating the lovebirds tied the knot in Shanghai and live-streamed the entire thing.

So, what does a $30 million dollar wedding entail? We scoured Instagram to find out…

First up you need a pre wedding photoshoot, natch. And where better to host said photoshoot than the city of love, Paris.  The couple chose the Eiffel tower as their location and the bride wore a stunning Elie Saab couture dress.

And the dress for the Shanghai ceremony was just as beautiful. Angela tasked Dior with creating the dress for her special day and boy did they deliver.

The custom made ivory satin gown took five months to create and featured 100 hand-cute rose bouquets made of Chantilly lace, seven petticoats and a 10-foot train. Not your average dress for sure.

An extravagant dress such as this needs a ring to match, and Angela’s didn’t disappoint.

Costing $1.5 million this piece of bling was made by Chaumet and featured a five-carat pear-shaped diamond.

The ceremony took place at Shanghai Exhibition Centre….

The cake has made headline news.

The 10ft carousel design cake took a whole month to make!

Plus, 2000 of the couple’s nearest and dearest attended the ceremony, and guests left with goody bags that included a phone from Meitu. Casual.

Well, she definitely gave Kim a run for her money. What Hollywood star could top this?
