The 37-year-old singer says she was 'really rooting' for the girl groups...

It’s safe to say The X Factor was pretty controversial at the weekend.

It was Judges’ Houses, which meant we saw panellists Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger choose their finalists. Exciting stuff, right?

The judges have now chosen their final acts

But not everyone was happy with the choices that were made.

It seemed to be Louis’ groups and Sharon’s over 25s that caused the most drama on Twitter.

One viewer wrote: ‘Wtf is Sharon thinking? X FACTOR is a joke #XFactor,’ while another said: ‘Sharon and louis tryna compete for who’s the worst judge on x factor or smth?????? smh [sic].’

In his category, Louis opted for 5 After Midnight, Brooks Way and Bratavio. Meanwhile, Sharon took Saara Aalto, Honey G and Relley C through to the live shows.

But it’s not just viewers who are unsure about the pair’s picks. Louis’ helper Alesha Dixon also sounds a teeny bit peeved.

Yep. Despite being by his side during the round, the 37-year-old has hinted that she didn’t agree with his final decisions.

Alesha – who was joined by Fleur East in Ibiza – took to Instagram last night to tell fans: ‘Well that was fun! But I am gutted, I was really rooting for the 2 girl groups! @thexfactor #thexfactor ❤.’

Louis lost two girl bands in the process, 4 Of Diamonds and Skarl3t.

Alesha’s followers seemed just as passionate about Louis’ lack of ladies, with replies including: ‘4 of diamonds better be the wild card for the live shows or I am literally never watching it again,’ and: ‘Louis gets it wrong yet again! Both girl groups were so good.’

Hmm. What are your thoughts on Louis’ finalists? Let us know over on Twitter @lookmagazine.
