Everyone was looking forward to watching Adele take to the stage for her big performance at the 2016 Grammys.
But it seems that not everything went to plan during the show, as viewers were quick to point out that there was something seriously off with the sound.
The 27-year-old hit maker performed All I Ask, which she co-wrote with Bruno Mars. She wowed in sparkling Givenchy gown, and – as expected – she completely owned the stage. But, unfortunately, the audio problems meant that her beautiful voice kept being muted.
Twitter users who had tuned in for the live stream were not happy either. One wrote, ‘#Adele deserves a do over. Who was in charge of the sound? Jeeze! #GRAMMYs’.
Another praised the starlet, ‘YESS @Adele powering through audio issues #LikeAChamp #GRAMMYs’. We couldn’t agree more.
Never one to shy away from telling it like it is (oh how we love you, Adele) the Hello singer took to Twitter to set the record straight about what really went wrong.
Adele explained, ‘The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that’s what the guitar sound was…
‘It made the sound out of tune. S*** happens.’
But this lady sure knows how to make good of a bad situation: ‘Because of it though…I’m treating myself to an In N Out. So maybe it was worth it’.
