Adam Thomas Reveals His Anxiety Over Going Into The I’m A Celebrity Jungle

We feel so bad for the star :(

While we can easily imagine how the idea of going into the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here jungle must be absolutely terrifying, contestant Adam Johnson has revealed he suffered major anxiety while he anticipated going into the jungle.

Speaking to OK Magazine, Adam admitted ‘I’m having sleepless nights. I’m just a bit on edge.’

His fiancee Caroline Daly explained: ‘He has been having nightmares.’

‘They are just bizarre, I can’t really explain them, but I haven’t been well and I’ve been on medication, so maybe that’s what caused them?’, the actor pondered.

Adam was written out of Emmerdale in order to take part in the show, but even then he didn’t feel like the experience was real.

‘To be honest, I didn’t think it was going to happen. I thought something was going to go wrong.

The star opened up, ‘It hasn’t unfortunately, I’m feeling quite nervous, but excited.’

The dad-of-one has already been forced to face his biggest fear in the jungle, in a Bush Tucker Trial he had to do with camp mate and comedian Joel Dommett.

The pair had to enter a hut full of spiders and as soon as he locked eyes on an eight legged critter, Adam became hysterical.

After a spider jumped at him, Adam screamed ‘Oh my god, it jumped bro. It totally jumped!’

After the ordeal, Adam and Joel were recalling the trial to the rest of the group, with Joel saying of Adam ‘We’d walked there and worked ourselves up so much and by the time we walked in, he saw one spider and went absolutely insane – he was crying.’

Adam then stated, ‘I’m a broken man.

‘It was a tough night, I’m not going to lie, one of the toughest.

‘I was a bit of a mess, embarrassing but it is what it is.’

It can’t be easy to come face to face with your biggest fears at the best of times, let alone when you’re away and missing your family, so we totally sympathise with Adam!
