6 habits to drop RIGHT NOW if you want to be successful

So you want to be a success story. Don’t we all. But it’s never as easy as you imagine. However did you know that a few small changes to your current mindset could make you successful?

Here are 6 habits you should stop doing right now if you want to be successful. They are definitely things you’re doing!

1. Believing you have to wait for the right time

The right time is now people. There’s never a perfect time to start on a new journey, be that a place at university or a new business venture. You just have to go for it.

2. Thinking that success is unrealistic

Moderate levels of success is still success. You don’t have to be the next Mark Zuckerberg or Elon Musk to make it big. Being successful is something you can do even on a small scale, so don’t be too hard on yourself.

3. Letting others influence you

Stop listening to other people. So what if your parents think your start-up idea is complete madness? So what if your family are pressuring you into becoming a doctor when really you just want to be a fashion designer. Do what you want – it’s your life!

4. Believing that money = success

Having a job you love and find really fun is actually the secret to success. Having money would be cool yeah, but would it make you happy in the long run? Probs not. Get your priorities straight, do what you enjoy and the money will follow.

5. Comparing yourself to others

So what if your uni friend bagged a well-paid graduate scheme job? Bet she’s hating ever minute and bored out of her mind. Stop thinking about other people’s ‘successes’ because it’s never how you imagine.

6. Letting fear hold you back

Going along with the status quo just because it’s the safe and easy option isn’t going to get you anywhere fast. Instead think about what you really want and do it, regardless of all the possible failures you could face along the way. Be bold and believe in yourself!
