5 times we took workwear inspo from Oliver Cheshire

Workwear *sigh*. The endless sartorial minefield. Ok not so much, but you do want to look stylish, right? The trick is to look like you’ve put zero effort into your outfit, when you’ve actually put about 2% effort in.

Here are some quick wardrobe fixes, minimal effort required, that you can adopt now, courtesy of Oliver Cheshire, the dashing boyfriend of Pixie Lott. Clearly, on that note, he’s doing something very right.

1. Colour

Who said workwear had to be so black and white? Make like Oliver and wear a pop of colour. Stick to your whites, greys and blacks for the rest of your look though – you don’t want to look Clown-chic *LOL*. And no that isn’t ever a thing.

2. Weather-proof

Nothing says sloppy like a bedraggled office look. And no matter how good your ironing skills are, the weather can totally destroy that. Instead invest in a good waterproof coat. They can actually look cool, don’t you know – as demonstrated by Oliver. The fur trim is optional, but your girlfriend will approve. Fact.

3. Go tonal

Oliver has Pixie Lott for a girlfriend, so clearly he’s doing something right. His killed outfits are 100% the reason, men. This perfectly fitted suit with matching suede brogues proves my point. Tonal dressing is the way.

4. Shearling

Ok I can feel myself getting carried away now…but… this shearling jacket is incredible. A roll neck jumper certainly isn’t for everyone, but this jacket certainly is. Throw it over a shirt to stay warm on your commute, or chuck it on over jeans and a t-shirt in your downtime.

5. Layers

Why not rock a jacket AND a coat? Not so keen on the fur trim Oliver, sorry, but I like how he hasn’t been afraid to layer, layer, layer. This wool coat is a great workwear coat, but definitely avoid denim in the office – unless you work in an edgy bunker in Shoreditch that is.
