Unless you’ve been living under a rock you will have heard, and probably cried over, Adele’s new album. She is absolutely killing it at the moment. Juggling motherhood with superstardom hasn’t been easy, Adele says, but she’s doing it. And if that wasn’t enough, she’s just announced an arena tour next year.
Here are four other women who we totally wish were ruling the world. They would do an amazing job, for sure.
1. Emma Watson
Emma was determined to get a good education in between starring in the Harry Potter films. The actress studied at both Oxford University and Brown University and received a degree in English Literature. Despite being mega-rich, she is super down-to-earth. Since graduating, Emma has become a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador and launched the HeForShe campaign calling for gender equality. Can she be our next Prime Minister please?
2. Mayim Bialik
Super intelligent, this actress is not one to blindly follow the identikit A-list red carpet mould. Known for playing Dr Amy Farrah in The Big Bang Theory, Mayim, 39, actually is a neuroscientist. Mind blown! She turned down Harvard and Yale to attend UCLA and be close to her parents (n’awww) where she received her Ph.D. As if being an Emmy-nominated actress AND a neuroscientist wasn’t enough, Mayim is also a cookbook author as well as a vegan mum. She has just launched a new lifestyle site called GrokNation, which is set to rank alongside Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop and Blake Lively’s Preserve. Ruling the world could easily be the next venture this star takes on.
3. Kate Beckinsale

Her parents must have known pretty early on in her life that she was going to be an indestructible female force. London-born Kate, now 42, was at the reading age of an 11-year-old when she was just six. After finishing school, she studied French and Russian Literature at Oxford University and is now fluent in four languages. With a string of Hollywood films under her belt, Kate is also an active philanthropist. She joined Nestle’s Share the Joy of Reading programme in 2012 which helps to promote the importance of reading for children. We could do with a few more women like Kate.
4. Lisa Kudrow
As fun as Phoebe ruling the world would be, Lisa is a far more likely option. We know her from Friends as the fun-loving, ditzy blonde who famously sang about a smelly cat. In real life Lisa is actually the daughter of Dr Lee N. Kudrow, a world renowned doctor specialising in headaches. Lisa went to university where she graduated with a degree in Biology. After finishing, she worked with her father for eight years before entering into the acting world. Lisa is one smart cookie and an amazing actress to boot. We would vote for her as our leader for sure.
