Because every tipple helps.
If, like us, Tesco is your go-to for quality wine at a price that won’t break the bank, you’re going to love this. The supermarket giant will host its very own pop-up wine bar next month. For real.
The bar will run on Wardour Street in Soho for 11 days at the beginning of the month (2nd-13th), and as well as the supermarket’s entire Tesco Finest wine list, the bar will serve up a series of ‘discovery wine flights’.
There’s more – entry to Tesco’s wine bar will cost you absolutely nada, while bookings won’t be necessary either. In case you didn’t catch that the first time round, spontaneously strolling over to a wine bar that sells strictly Tesco Finest vino is soon to be a reality.
Tesco’s senior brand manager Elizabeth Farroni commented: “Showcasing the change through a pop-up wine bar is the perfect way to demonstrate the high quality of our wines directly to the public.”
Wine experts will also be on hand during open hours to provide visitors with advice and recommend wines according to certain tastes.
So what inspired the idea? Well, we’re not saying they’re directly linked but Aldi hosted a pop-up in Shoreditch’s Boxpark during London Fashion Week back in February and it was a huge success. Either way, we’ll bet all our grapes on it Tesco’s version will be just as brilliant.
See you there.
