Student Volunteering Week is an: “unique opportunity for student volunteers, units, charities, social enterprises, businesses and government to collaborate, discuss challenges and opportunities in student volunteering, and showcase innovative individuals and projects.”
So how can you make a difference? Student or otherwise here are four things you can do for Student Volunteering Week to make the world a better place.
1. Spread the word for Facebook For Non-Profits
Facebook For Non-Profits is a new initiative from the world’s biggest network to give fundraisers and non-profits the resources and reach they need to get as much money and awareness to the causes that need them. If you know anyone looking to start a charity or who already has one, spread the word and inspire others to make use of this amazing tool.
2. Get involved at your university (even if you’ve graduated)
Whether you’re part of university or recently graduated, there’s no reason why you can’t get involved. Ring ahead to register and get involved with a cause close to your heart. You’ll make loads of new friends, rekindle with old comrades and will get an excuse to skip doing work while making a difference.
3. Plan your event schedule for the summer

With the summer and the promise of warmer weather just around the corner, lots of people will start booking slots on charity fun runs and expeditions.
