1. Avocado

It’s ultimate king of instagramable brunches but it’s worth much more than just the ‘likes’ it gets you. Rich in healthy fats, this green goodness is proven to lower cholesterol and can also help protect your skin from environmental damage.

2. Lemon

It acts as an anti-inflammatory and just one lemon has more than 100 per cent of your daily intake of vitamin C, which can help strengthen bones. Health gurus swear by a cup of warm water with a few drops of lemon juice first thing in the morning for an easy detox.

3. Dark chocolate

Who said healthy food couldn’t be delicious too? Dark chocolate has more cocoa powder than milk chocolate, which is rich in antioxidants that can reduce the bad cholesterol and increase the good.

4. Garlic
