What better way to spend a gloomy weekend than wasting away the hours in a nice coffee shop? Now that the weather has turned, we’re retreating indoors to some of our favourite haunts.
For those of you in London this weekend, here’s 5 great cafés to try that will satisfy even the fussiest of bean snobs.
1. The Attendant
Based in what used to be an underground public toilet, The Attendant takes its theme very seriously. Expect a lot of porcelain with the original Victorian tiles still on show, and a tiny space that is perfect for a cosy morning brew.
From their two W1 locations, Kaffeine serves up Square Mile coffee as well as keeping it fresh with guest roasters from all around the UK. The chilled interiors and delicious bakes will have you comfortably spending a good couple of hours there.
3. Nude Espresso
One of London’s major roasteries, Nude Espresso has cafés in Soho and Shoreditch. Go for the great coffee and stay for the varied lunch menu and delicious bakes goods.
4. Workshop Coffee Company
Having started in Clerkenwell before branching out to multiple locations, Workshop offers up a delicious brunch menu for weekends and beans roasted on site. There’s always someone on hand to help you decide which coffee is best for you.
5. The Monocle Café
Located on Chiltern Street, Monocle’s cafe serves up Allpress coffee in a super stylish location. The interiors will be Instagram-worthy and the food will delight your tastebuds.
