The best places to de-stress in London (honestly, they’re amazing!)

I have a stressful job. Yes, I love it, but it can be very full-on. Events, interviews, networking, managing, editing – you get the picture of my working week. So I went on a hunt to find the best de-stressing venues in London and I’ve narrowed down the top 4 for you guys to check out.

As a lot of you lovely readers know, London can be a very intense place to work. High-pressure commutes (people are just gross aren’t they?!), horrific rent prices AND a tough career ladder – yeah, you deserve a break! So read on and get inspired for your next day off.

1. Dorsett Shepherd’s Bush

For an amazing Swedish massage, and the best one I’ve ever had, head to The Dorsett Shepherd’s Bush. The hotel is lovely and very peaceful and zen. I stayed there and then popped over to Westfield the next day – it’s just a short walk away. Spa prices are very reasonable and definitely worth it!

2. Akasha Spa, Cafe Royal

A 60ft long pool under Piccadilly Circus – could anything be more chill? I had a little swim, a glorious facial and chilled on the sofas – a perfect evening. Akasha Spa in Cafe Royal has nine treatment rooms, a sauna, a jacuzzi, a huge pool, a gym, and some relaxation areas. Make sure you try their delicious teas too. I’m totally going back!

3. The St Pancras Renaissance Spa

I went for a pedicure here and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The St Pancras Renaissance Spa’s decor is beautiful and it’s a stark difference from the crazily busy King’s Cross station which is just next door. The spa is well worth a visit if you’re looking to rewind in a stylish location. Also do check out the pool if you have time!

4. The Dorchester

Nothing will make you de-stress like a fabulous haircut. Flavien Abbas is incredible. He’s just started at The Dorchester’s Carol Joy London salon and he has a really impressive, and long, CV. He started hairdressing at the age of 15 working at a top salon on the Cote d’Azur. He then came to London at the age of 17 and has since worked in some of the best salons, AND he founded beauty brand Touché by Flavien. The hotel is spectacular and so relaxing, I definitely recommend it!

Carol Joy London is also one of the most amazing brands ever! Their shampoo and conditioner are honestly incredible but I’m also super obsessed with their collagen spray – it is just so good. Plus it can be used by girls and guys. Collagen spray is actually the only thing medical professionals can use on burn victims (did you know?) so it can be used on anyone, you get instant plumping results and it’s really refreshing too.
