You’ll never guess which A-List celebrity is about to become your lecturer! When we heard the news we were So excited. It’s only bloody Angelina Jolie!!! But the more important news is which UK university is she heading to?
Which university are you studying at? If it’s the London School of Economics (LSE) you’re in for a REAL treat!
Angelina Jolie, the super sexy actress and wife of Brad Pitt is starting as a lecturer at the London School of Economics. When? For the 2016-2017 school year. Yep, that soon! She’ll be teaching a master course on “women, peace, and security”. Kind of vague and broad we know, but it sounds pretty interesting right?
Angie (yep, we’re basically on first-name terms) said of her new role: “I am very encouraged by the creation of this master’s programme. I hope other academic institutions will follow this example, as it is vital that we broaden the discussion on how to advance women’s rights and end impunity for crimes that disproportionately affect women, such as sexual violence in conflict.”
“I am looking forward to teaching and to learning from the students as well as to sharing my own experiences of working alongside governments and the United Nations.”
Omg she’s so awesome. Wouldn’t you just love to ask her loads of questions and obvs get her to initiate a ‘bring your partner to work day’.
Ok, we want to join in with these lectures now SO BADLY! If any of you reading this will be PLEASE Periscope it for us! We’ll love you forever.
A statement from LSE said: “From Autumn 2016, students will be able to apply to take the new one–year MSc in Women, Peace and Security, which will include courses on ‘Women, Peace and Security’, ‘Gender and Militarisation’ and ‘Gender and Human Rights’.” Want to apply? Find out more here. As if we ever needed a better excuse to do a masters? Lol.
