We didn’t think we could love Victoria Beckham any more. That is, until we saw these photos! The fashion queen and her hubby David Beckham have donated quite literally a wardrobe’s worth of clothes and shoes to a London charity supporting those who have been affected by the terrible typhoon that hit the Philippines two weeks ago.
‘David and I are supporting the Red Cross Shop Drop for the Philippines campaign and we urge everyone in Britain to do the same,” Victoria revealed in a statement. ‘Everyone has something in their closet they’re holding onto, a dress, suit, or pair of shoes they thought they might wear again. Dig them out, bag them up, drop them off and give someone else the chance to buy them, raising much needed funds for the Red Cross aid effort.’
When the rest of us donate to charity, it’s hard enough to part with that Topshop dress you wore to the office Christmas party circa 2011, but it looks like Victoria and David haven’t held back with their donations. VB’s contribution includes hundreds of shoes from her own personal collection including covetable Manolo Blahniks and Jimmy Choos and some of her most famous red-carpet frocks. Victoria, we salute you!
The Beckham’s donations go on sale today at the Kensington and Chelsea Red Cross shop so, if you’re in town, you better get down there. Even if you don’t buy anything, you might actually get to cuddle a jumper worn by David! Now that’s our idea of charitable giving…
