Your Backstage Pass To Next Season’s Trends

Shopping-wise, you’re probably stocking up on scarves, gloves and coats right now, but here at Look HQ, we’ve been checking out the spring/summer 2014 collections from all our high street favourites. Yep, the SS14 press day circuit (where brands showcase their new collections to press) is in full swing right now, and the treats on offer have definitely got us dreaming of summer. So, while it may be a while off, we couldn’t resist whetting your appetite for what lies ahead with a sneak peek at some of the amazing pieces that really tickled our style tastebuds…

First up, behold Ostwald Helgason for Aldo Rise. For their latest designer hook-up, Aldo have called upon London label Ostwald Helgason – which counts Solange Knowles and more street style stars than you can shake a stick at as fans – to apply their signature graphic patterns and bold colours on shoes and bags. A fast-track to catwalk cool without the eye-watering price tag, we predict a sell-out when this collab hits stores.

Boden meanwhile, is all about technicolour prints splashed on seperates, but it was this knockout necklace that had all the fashion editors swooning. More than a little J.Crew, dont’cha think?

We’ll definitely be relegating our  black leather biker jackets for Wallis’ pale quilted update (pastel bikers are a biggie next season FYI). Definitely worthy of wardrtobe staple status.

Finally, our summer arm candy fix came in the form of Paul’s Boutique’s juicy bags. The label just keeps getting glossier, and the minimal shape and gold hardware ensure this boxy number oozes a designer vibe.

We’re sure you’ll agree it’s safe to say summer 2014 is going to be a good’un in the style stakes.
