You Won’t Believe These New Drops From Primark & Co

It’s official – the new season starts this week! Well, according to our favourite high street haunts anyway, whose must-see new collections have just started to drop. From work-to-weekend wonder buys at Marks & Spencer to Boden’s dreamy florals and Miss Selfridge’s retro vibe, it’s just what you need to snap out of that January wardrobe rut and prepare for spring in style.

First up, Primark (above). The definitive destination for injecting some instant cool to your look, if you like your prints high-octane and your accessories amped up, the new drop will be right up your street. From on-the-money arty geo and palm prints to see-through arm candy and killer sandals, these pieces will take any look to the next level. Co-ords and culottes are still going strong, and the t-shirt dress looks set to be your new go-to shape.

Then there’s M&S. You can always count on the high street institution to have all bases covered, and the new season offerings are no exception. Made up of simple, super-wearable – but still statement – separates, this collection will work round the clock. The pink balloon skirt, £39.50, has been causing a major stir among the fashion editor’s, while the printed blouse, £35, and camel flares, £49.50, are totally feeding our 70s addiction. Oh, and we can’t wait to shrug off our chunky winter coats in favour of that super chic cream mac, £65.

Over at Miss Selfridge, it’s all about the retro vibes. You don’t need us to tell you how huge the 70s trend is this season, ruling the catwalks and the high street, but Miss S is nodding to the 50s and 60s too, so you can work whatever retro feel you fancy. The beautiful sheer prom skirt, £45, and matching top, £35, look super expensive – wear them together for a knockout summer wedding look or dress them down with relaxed separates off duty. If 70s is your thing, they’ve got everything from folky embroidery to fringed bags, £32, so you can do a subtle take on the trend or go all-out. Just be sure to pick your decade and stick to it – mix and matching doesn’t work with this trend.

Finally, let’s just talk about Boden’s florals (below). Pretty blooms, the spring trend we never tire of, have made many appearances in the new season collections, and we love the brand’s intricate, almost hand-drawn pieces. This gorgeous top, £79, and skirt, £89, combo comes in dress form too, but don’t forget to check out the 3D applique florals on killer clutches and chic flats. It’s petal heaven!

If that little lot has got you in the mood for a new season shopping spree, don’t forget to snap up this week’s issue of LOOK – out now – for even more hot new high street drops.
