Ever wondered what Cheryl Fernandez-Versini gets up to on her days off? Well, now you know.
The former Girls Aloud star has teamed up with Beats by Dr. Dre to produce an exclusive film showcasing her new album track, Fight On.
Shot in a variety of locations throughout a week in her life, we see Cheryl’s typically showbiz errands in full – working little black dresses for photoshoots, getting dolled up in her make-up chair – it all looks glamorous, but we also get to see the singer coping with the other side of fame.
Winding down in the cab, getting her head together in the studio in nothing but Nikes and grey sweats, and dancing like no one’s watching – it’s Cheryl uncovered.
The X Factor judge is seen using music at every touch-point; slipping on her headphones and plugging in is how she copes and stays grounded. And of course, only the most stylish headphones will do…
‘Even in the eye of the storm, you need moments alone to think and gather your thoughts, music helps me do that’, she’s heard saying in the short cinematic piece. ‘All I want to do at the end of the day is put the music on and turn the world off.’
The atmospheric film closes with Cheryl’s final comment: ‘I feel comfortable in my own skin. I know who I am, I know what I want, I know exactly what I don’t want. I’m in a great place as a woman.’
We don’t know whether it was the words, the sentiment, or the way it was shot, but hearing Cheryl’s new tune playing in the background actually made us feel a bit emotional, too. We’re a fan.
In the film, Mrs FV is seen wearing grey Solo2 headphones, white Powerbeats2 wireless, red urBeats and a black Pill XL while rehearsing.
