TREND ALERT: The 60’s Style Takeover We Love

Forget the 70’s, this season’s hottest trend to hit the catwalks, and our wardrobes, is all about the swinging 60’s.

Seen on the catwalks everywhere from Louis Vuitton to Orla Kiely, it’s official, flower power is back, and this time it’s high fashion.

Defined by the original supermodel Twiggy, the 60’s were all about micro mini skirts, psychedelic prints and Go-go boots even Penelope Pitstop would be jealous of. And the celebs are following suit.

DJ Chelsea Leyland and Alexa Chung cant get enough of the 60's trend DJ Chelsea Leyland and Alexa Chung cant get enough of the 60’s trend

2015’s answer to Jean Shrimpton, style icon Alexa Chung works the 60’s look on the regular. Whether rocking flared suede dresses with Sergeant Pepper style military detailing or donning an A-line leopard print mini that Pussy Galore would be proud of, Alexa always nails this totally groovy trend.

Get her look with Miss Selfridge’s gorgeous button-down suede skirt (this season’s hottest fabric on the high street) and pair with Orla Kiely for Clarks’ platform mock-croc Mary Janes for a leg-lengthening 60’s vibe.
