And we can kinda see why...

We’re used to seeing pretty bonkers trends here in the Look office.
See-through or barely there styles are nothing new for the fashion world, but it’s rare to see it filter down from the catwalk to the high street and actually see successful sales.
That’s why we were surprised that one of our fave high street shops, are actually selling transparent jeans. Yup, you read it right. Completely see through…
Topshop’s 100% polyurethane trews have been made in their mega popular MOTO Straight Leg shape, complete with white stitching. And they are causing the internet to go bonkers.
In the description, it does say ‘out-of-the-ordinary clear plastic jeans – guaranteed to get people talking.’ And that they have, Topshop.
One comment on Twitter reads, ‘topshop is now selling CLEAR JEANS. I hate 2017 so much’ [sic]
Another confused commenter posted. ‘Go home Topshop you’re drunk’ [sic]
The description also advisers buyers of the ‘jeans’ to, ‘take the look to the extreme with a bikini and sequin jacket or dress down, layered under an oversized jumper or asymmetric hem dress.’
And despite an internet meltdown over the see-through style, the cropped plastic party pants appear to be selling out, fast…
With a cool price tag of just £55, customers are clearly (sorry, had to) jumping at the chance to own a pair of the talked about trousers of the moment.
We’re heard of wrapping our bodies in cling film to lose weight – maybe this is the fashion equivalent?
So although the out-there style may be a tad ridiculous (and a lot sweaty), we’re totally behind Topshop pushing the boundaries of high street fashion – because, why not?
